چکیده

Understanding the ex-vessel spreading behavior of molten core materials (corium) on reactor containment floor is great importance for designing, managing, and evaluating severe accidents light water reactors. Among some simulated corium experiments, temporal termination restart flow (stop-and-go) were highlighted in ECOKATS-V1 experiment, which simulant oxide melt (consisted 41% Al2O3, 24% SiO2, 19% CaO, 16% FeO) was released into a 1-D channel, seemed to have temporarily stopped restarted following crust formation breach at leading edge. The preceding study developed models Lagrangian-based Moving Particle Semi-Implicit (MPS) method analyze such spreading. However, applicability limited due numerical instability. In this study, timestep control MPS revised by newly introducing particle number density control, can efficiently reduce prevent instability when formed or breached low viscous flow. new successfully applied with different formations conditions. Namely, Solidification Viscosity Threshold (SVT) Crust Fracture Stress (CFST) melt. former determines threshold viscosity above fluid regarded as solid (crust). latter mechanical strength edge front. There remain issues future studies further develop more quantitative discussions.

Fracture Mechanics Analysis of Fourth Lumbar Vertebra in Method of Finite Element Analysis

Objective: In this paper, finite element model of the L4 vertebra subjected to combination of compression and flexion loading in isotropic and anisotropic cases is investigated. Methods: In both cases, the vertebra is considered homogeneous. Also, the body of vertebra is divided to cancellous and cortical sections in anisotropic model, but the process is assumed isotropic such as isotropic mode...

A geological model for the structure of ridge segments in slow spreading ocean crust

First-order (transform) and second-order ridge-axis discontinuities create a fundamental segmentation of the lithosphere along mid-ocean ridges, and in slow spreading crust they commonly are associated with exposure of subvolcanic rust and upper mantle. We analyzed available morphological, gravity, and rock sample data from the Atlantic Ocean to determine whether consistent structural patems oc...

Free Vibration Analysis of 2D Functionally Graded Annular Plate considering the Effect of Material Composition via 2D Differential Quadrature Method

This study investigates the free vibration of the Two-Dimensional Functionally Graded Annular Plates (2D-FGAP). The theoretical formulations are based on the three-dimensional elasticity theory with small strain assumption. The Two-Dimensional Generalized Differential Quadrature Method (2D-GDQM) as an efficient and accurate semi-analytical approach is used to discretize the equations of motion ...
